LabSim 4.4 Paragraph Formatting

One of the worst things to me to have to do when I was in school was to have to write a paper. One of my issues with having to write a paper was the format of that paper. It seemed that depending on what grade I was in there was a different format to follow and it could get very confusing and frustrating, so it was very comforting to know that Word has preset formats for any and every style and layout you may need for what ever presentation you may have to do. I know had these resources been around when I was in middle school and even high school, writing paper would have been a much more pleasant experience.

  2. Paragraph formatting is key to fitting that 1 "page" essay teachers want. By increasing the spacing to double you can easily fill the page in less work.

  3. Formatting is everything. Typing specifically in MLA format has guided me to work on non-school documents in a more visually organized way.

  4. I agree! Wish these formatting options were available when I was younger. But now that they are available, I teach my kids to use it and work smarter, not harder.

  5. I agree with you. Especially when I came into contact with the Eng-114 course, the professor's requirement on my format APA and MLA is still fresh in my mind!

  6. This feature was new to me. I’m so glad I’m learning all these new features in this class. I actually used this feature for a class I just completed 2 weeks ago, it saved me a lot of time.

  12. This section of LabSim also caught my attention because I had no idea Microsoft could offer you many formatting options and even save prior citations in case you ever need to access them again.

  14. I comprehend the struggle, if I may make a suggestion, have you tried creating your own macro for word so that when you boot up the program on a fresh page the macro will format it to the specifications you need.

  16. I finally used paragraph formatting in my research essay and it helped me with my works cited page, because my professor wanted a hanging indent for the works cited for the lines following the first line.
