Sunshine

The feeling of clarity and resolution after going through a tough time to me can only be equated to sunshine, not just any sunny day, but that first sunny day after a heavy storm or what feels like a hurricane of opposition and problems that life has brought your way. To make it through, it feels that much easier to breathe and enjoy the day. You feel stronger, better, and like there is nothing you can't do. In the words of Jimmy Cliff " I can see clearly now the rain is gone..."  Life may get tough, but if you can weather the storm. There will be sunny days on the other side.

  3. First, let me say, I love your background. I couldn't have said it better, sunshine after the storm and the feelings it brings with it. An amazement of thoughts come to mind when I picture the sun on my face after a tough day or a tough situation. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

  4. I like your analogy, tough times can be seen as storms in our lives. And the feeling of warmth and sunshine after the storm passes, it's such a relief to know that it's over. May you have more sunny days than storms in life :)

  5. I really like the last sentence of your blog. We have to be positive that there will be sunny days on the other side. There are things we can’t control so we have to hope that everything will be ok.

  6. Times are tough for many people at different points of their life but one thing we can always count on is that sun will still shine and make your day great if your feeling down.

  8. Even if something isn't brand-new or very influential, I like to think of each day as a fresh opportunity because I'm living it, and that's all that really matters.

  10. I hope everything is okay on your end too, Frank. We all need a message like this and even such a soulful song like this one every once in a while as a reminder that everything will be okay.

  11. This just gave me major nostalgia; in 5th grade my teacher always used to play songs like this in the morning! Thanks for sharing this. As it may pertain to the requirements of a weekly blog post, the message is timeless because it definitely carries on when we encounter struggles time to time.

  12. I love this song. Makes me feel young again and uplifted. Listening to this song allows me to feel and let go of yesterday and look to a brighter day. The movie was awesome, it made me laugh a lot. I don't think it ever made it to DVD but I would love to watch it again today if I had a VCR and the original VHS tape.

  13. We all have to weather the storm some times but there is always light at the end of the tunnel. This is just a speed bump in the road once you get over it, its smooth sailing. Stay strong you got this.
