LabSim 5.9.2 Excel Tables

One thing that I found to be quite fascinating is turning excel spreadsheets into tables and the amount of customization options and features that are available. It's crazy to me that when you get done that your spreadsheet can look and function like a completely different beast than a simple spreadsheet and it can become way more useful and helpful in getting work done. I've used excel to do a simple monthly budgets in the past, but now and in the future my budgets are going to be more user friendly, efficient, and more effective in helping me reach my financial goals. They will also look a whole lot better than a simple black and white spreadsheet.

  1. The pre-formatted tables definitely breath life and polish into a boring grid ^_^

Cosmetic improvement aside, defining a cell range as a table will also add functionalities such as filtering, grouping, total row :-)

  7. Now that I'm thinking about it, Excel really does have the ability to help with a financial goal. I'm about to look up a YouTube guide and follow it to the T!

  8. All of these additional features help the user dial in the visuals to exactly what they want. I'm sure for very large companies that produce many parts and pieces use this feature to pinpoint exact items down to individual costs per how many they make.

  9. Excel is amazing! The endless features and functions available to create many types of documents, either financial, budgetary, summary, comparative, or logical. There are many more. In my accounting class, I had to learn to use the =NVP() function which is not discussed in LabSim. The =NVP() function calculates the net present value of investments by using a discount rate (through a table) and a series of future payments (negative values) and income (positive values). I hope to keep learning new functions as I go through my education.

  10. Excel has very many features and functions. I wish to learn as much as I can. Especially when Silvia mentioned =NVP, I wonder where was that used. I have many YouTube tutorials to watch to see what else I can use Excel with.
